Budapest

capital city of Hungry with a rich history of more than 1000 years old. It has
numerous UNESCO World Heritages Sites. Budapest, located on the both banks of
the Danube River (with ancient Buda on the right bank and Pest on the left of
the river), is an elegant city rich with architectural masterpieces, historic
bridges, art galleries and museums. The city is also known as Queen of the
Danube. This break-taking capital city of Hungry will not put much burden on
pocket.
Budapest
history started from stone ages. It is a gorgeous capital city has two major weathers.
The July and August are the hottest months when temperature reaches around
28-30 while December and January are the coldest months when weather is said to
be close to freezing point.
Budapest
has numerous tourist attractions. The Gellert Hill is one of other attractions
topped by a giant statue of the saint who overlooking the city, while the
Castle Hill is famous for Royal Palace built during 13 century. The Castle Hill
contains Budapest’s most historic monuments and museums. The Buda Castle is on
top in these, having 200 rooms, built during 18th century, spectacularly
illuminated at night. Fisherman’s Bastion of late 19th century and
countless statues are the other attractions tourists can find during their
Gellert Hill visit.
Hungarian Parliament Building
Hungarian
Parliament is another landmark building designed by Imre Steindl in splendid
noe-Gothic style located in Lajos Kossuth Square, on the bank of the Danube. It
is the second largest parliament building and one of the oldest legislative
buildings in Europe. Its neighbors, the Museum of Ethnography and the Ministry
of Agriculture, are other attractions for tourists. The 900 feet long building
has more than 690 rooms and often photographed from the Danube River side. The
building has many attractions for visitors such as the main entrance hall,
various lobbies, the Hungarian Crown Jewels, and its 19 kilometers long
corridors and stairs.
The
Royal Palace Budapest is an impressive building also famous as Buda Castle. It
is located on atop Castle Hill, where it towers are almost 150 feet above the
city and give a spectacular view of Danube and Pest side of the river.
The
other top attractions or the places never miss to visit in Budapest, Hungry
such as The Museum of Fine Arts in not only a most important art gallery but
also a house with largest collections of works (such as Egyptian Art, Ancient
Art, the Old Sculpture Gallery, the Old Painter Gallery, the Modern Collection,
and the Graphics Collections) to be found in Europe.
Heroes’
Square is located at the end of Andrassy Avenue a popular spot among tourists
and often seen in Budapest’s postcard. The square, designed by Albert
Schickedanz, is flanked by museums. A 36 meter tall column known as Millennium
Monument crowned by a figure of the Archangel Gabriel, built in late 19th
century. Behind it a large City Park which is a public park. Visitors can enjoy
picnic, relax by the lake or walk through open fields.
Dozens
of underground Turkish thermal bath are dotted throughout the city built during
1500s. Lukacs Baths, Gellert Bath, Kiraly Bath and Csaszar Thermal Bath are the
popular and oldest spa built during Ottoman rule. Today here there is less relax
and more partying atmosphere can be seen.
